FOUNDER/PRESIDENT

Andrew Garcia

Andrew “Drew” García, Founder/President – Drew has been a resident of Martinsburg since 2007.  He comes from Maryland where he grew up in both Baltimore City and Frederick County.    He served five years in the Marine Corps as an electronics technician, earning the rank of sergeant before leaving. He has worked as a municipal police officer since 2007 and holds the rank of corporal.  In his spare time, Drew has volunteered as a youth leader in various churches working with children of all ages.  He has a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership through Mountain State University and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling through Summit University (formerly Baptist Bible College).  He is married with four children, ages 21, 18, 6, and 2.  Drew has been described by others on the board as being determined and motivated.

TREASURER

Cara Henry

Cara Henry is a long time resident of Martinsburg.  She is a graduate of George Mason University and holds a B.A in Accounting.  She brings over 10 years of accounting experience to our team and is eager to help in any way she can.  In her free time she enjoys long distance running and anything fitness related.  She loves spending time with her husband and 2 children, ages 9 and 6.  Cara has been described by others on the board as being compassionate, organized, and persevering.

SECRETARY

Crystal Long

Crystal is a Tax Preparer and Front Desk Clerk at a local hotel.  She has volunteered as a Sunday school teacher, sang in choirs, and worked in the nursery in various churches. She has taken numerous Psychology courses, specifically courses related to substance abuse and treatment.  She is married and has four adult children whom all are recovering addicts, and thirteen grandchildren ranging from infant to high school age, one of which she raises.  Crystal has been described by others on the board as being compassionate and hard working.

Judith "Judy" Boykin

Gena Long

Gena has lived in the Eastern Panhandle since 1996 and has worked in local government since 2008.  She frequently volunteers for Main Street Martinsburg at their various community events as well as serves as co-founder of MiBurg.com, a website focused on cultivating community in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.  Gena has a Bachelors of Arts degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management and a Masters in Public Administration, both through American Public University.  She is married and has two teenage children.  Gena has been described by others on the board as being structured, energetic, and personable.

Debbie Mairano

Debbie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a certified addictions and gambling counselor.  Holding a Master Degree in Counseling, she has been working as a helping professional within various capacities, with individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years.   She currently has a private-practice counseling service in Martinsburg.   Debbie has spent a large portion of her life serving as a volunteer in various agencies and organizations.  She is passionate about her cat, nature, caring for the environment, advocacy work, and helping others.  In her leisure time Debbie loves to cook, read, bird watch and play in the garden.   Debbie has been described by others on the board as being energetic, empathetic, and knowledgeable.

Apostle Janis Wright

Janis Wright is a retired teacher/school counselor.  She has been an Ordained Minister since 1983 and has served in many capacities within the local church.  She is presently the founder and overseer of Church Without Walls Ministries, Inc., where free outreach services have been provided in Martinsburg, WV and surrounding areas since 2003. Janis has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Special Ed., K-12.  She has a Master of Arts in Human Resources and is a certified School Counselor.  She has taken Biblical Studies from Washington Bible Institute and is presently enrolled at Liberty University School of Divinity.  She has been married to Thomas for 31 years.  Janis has been described by others on the board as being wise, compassionate, and open.
